I am starting my own business and eventually, basically want to charge 75$ for an hour massage. I am also looking into working at a fitness/gym a couple days a week as an IC until my own business picks up. the other massage therapists at the fitness center are charging a lower fee, one is 55$ the other 45$ although I think they are only the introductory rates. At this place we each can decide what to charge... I want to talk to them about a fee that we each can agree on so its consistent for the clients, but thats another issue.
My question is: can I charge more at my own place of business than I would charge at a fitness center? the locations, although in the same town, are at either end of town. It sort of doesn't feel right. I feel like I should be consistent all around and have one fee, but on the other hand the space at the fitness center will not be as nice since there is noise from the gym that leaks into the room some.
