I've recently passed the NCBTMB and am waiting to receive my license.
I don't normally incorporate lymphatic massage into my routine but I've heard from experienced therapists that before they perform any massage they prep the body (the individual body part or the whole body) with some quick and light lymph massage. Is this something you normally perform?
Another question I have is that when I do receive my license where should I go? I've heard massage envy and similar franchises pay very low and tend to make you agree with really unfair non-compete clauses.
Should I look for an independent spa?
and how does your client base hold up over time? Is it always revolving?
