Question for the reflexiologists....

I would like to ask the experts: I have absolutely stinking feet, especially in the summer, I have tried everything but nothing seems to work. Can you tell me if this is related specifically to a part of the body not working properly? Someone told me once it was kidney related?
I know you'd probably have to have a look at my feet, but is there anything related to smelly feet...

Any kind of excessive sweatting can be related to the body's elimination systems not functioning at their optimum. If the liver and kidneys are at full stretch - the skin becomes a 'reserve' system of elimination and sweats out toxins.

However, our feet are designed to be more sweaty than any other part of the body, as there are more sweat glands (per inch)on the feet than anywhere else - this is so the skin on our feet can remain supple, even with the most vigerous excersise.

That is a good response from Waywood . . . I would only add that if this is something you are concerned about it might be worth popping to see your doctor to rule out any underlying causes. Excessive sweating is a recognised medical condition: "hyperhidrosis" and is fullytreatable (it is not my intention to alarm you nor to diagnose, however,there are some good sites on the internet which may help you tosee if the typical symptoms fit your experience).

Some conditions do seem to make the feet smell differently. But if you are healthy otherwise it could be a form of fungal infection.

I think A friend of mine who is a marathon runner used blue pemanganate christals in a footbath to cure this condition. But would recommend you thoroughly research before to rule out any contra-indications to its use.

Something usually safe is T tree for most people, perhaps have a footbath with quite a few drops in, its very good for fungal conditions. You can get it in powder and creams too. It can be used neat on small areas but again would recommend you research yourself for any contras, you may have.

Thank you all for the advice, I think I will try the T tree as I have heard it is very good.
I understand the smell could be due to different reasons and I think if it carries on like this Ill have to check with the doctor.
