I recently ran into a situation where the $50 cost (at Les Merveilles Massage on 750 Henri Bourassa East) was only a cover charge. Much to my surprise, it did not include the basic massage like many other massage parlours do. The whole amount went to the house, and the girls there receive none of that amount. Depending on what you'd like, you can be out an additional $55 (I think) for a basic massage...and upwards from there.
Although the girl at the door had asked me if I knew the prices (when I arrived), I said yes. I know the approximate prices for different services...after the basic massage. Actually, I was surprised she asked me that, but whatever. Basically, I didn't feel like dishing out another $55+ for a massage (for a total of $105+). I complained to the manager, and he explained that the other.parlours offer massotherapy, whereas he offers 'erotic massages" where the entry fee is just that: an entry fee. Being a civilized guy who expresses myself well, he heard and understood my point of view, and he refunded my $50, which is a class act on his part.
I guess i am a little surprised: are some places like that where the initial cost covers no massage?
Cheers
