Question regarding bunnies

I am trained in massage therapy but not at all in regards to animals. A good friend has a rabbit that is very special to her that got sick a bit ago. He's okay now, but his neck is a little messed up. He can't straighten it all the way, his head is always over to one side. Anyone know of anything I can do to help him a bit with what I do know? THANKS!

Sit down with him, keeping all thoughts of fricasee out of your mind. Quiet down with bugs, relaxed, quiet, soft hands and palpate the neck...take him thru range of motion, etc. Stretch the neck, find the tight muscles and restrictions, work them out. It is the same as with a human, only smaller and hairier.

I took a dog massage class/workshop yesterday, my dog was one of the best there! the rest of them were Australian Cattle Dogs.

Thank you so much for the information!!! I just wasn't sure what was safe with them being so much smaller that humans and all!!! I will try this out a few times and see what happens!

Well.....I've never personally handled a rabbit in this manner, but I have a cat, and they are roughly the same size, right? Pretty tough critters.
