Quick Training Question

Is it a general consensus that you need A-levels before em,barking on any kind of Acupuncture training?

But there is a LOT to learn and the training takes a few years.

All the training courses that I have looked at require at least 2 a-levels or equvalent as entry.

Do you know of any that are not?

Lilac, sorry, I apparently spoke too soon All these strange requirements.
It is not exactly the same, but I know of many Shiatsu schools who do not require "A" levels. Some Shiatsu schools give more emphasis on TCM than others.

Hiya,

Most acupuncture courses are run as BSc degrees now, so the normal entry is by A'level. However, mature students are accepted on an individual basis taking previous experience into account.

Its the western medical sciences that you may have difficulty with without any previous science qualifications. Many universities will accept the ITEC (or equivalent) Massage, anatomy and physiology qualification as one A' level and there are some colleges run science access courses too, and as mentioned before, a good shiatsu course would help you get in also, so there is light at the end of the tunnel.
