Hi, everyone!I did a few searches, and I couldn't find this information on the site, but if I've missed a pertinent thread or if there's another resource out there with this information, please post it here!I would like to know what the going rate for a one-hour massage is, wherever you are. If you aren't comfortable posting what *you* charge, that's cool -- if you know what the average is for your area, please post that.Also post (generally) where you're located, so we have an idea of how rates vary by region. And if there are wide differences in cost for different modalities, that might be interesting as well....I'm in Omaha, Nebraska, and my rate is $50 for an hour.I hope this is a valuable thread for everyone!

I'm in the metro detroit area and I'll give you a few figures from previous jobs I've had:Hair Salon $70/hourDay Spa  $100/hourChiropractor  $60/hourHotel outcalls $70/hourClinic  $60/hourMe  $55/hourAs you can see, different places charge different prices but I'd say the average is around $70

Houston, Texas:Massage is from $45 - $125/hourSome people charge more for deep tissue and some charge the same.  Some spas still charge $60 and others are higher.  Some private therapist still charge $45, while many are in the "average" rate as seen below.  Out calls generally run in the $85 - $125 range.Average rate is $60 to $75/hr.

I am in the far west valley of Phoenix.  My rates are for an hour:Swedish $55Deep Tissue $60Myo-therapy or triggerpoint $65Most people come to see me for the deep tissue.In other areas such as a day spa or Resort massages run from $55 to $125 depending on what part of the valley you go to.  If you are in Scottsdale, which is an upscale city.  You can easily pay $100 for an hour massage.

I'm east of Atlanta, GA (about 30 miles or so).I have different programs depending on how regularly the client comes to see me.  The more often they come -- the less it costs, charges range from $75 - $50 hour.Half hour is $4090 Minutes is $99

Anyone can save up enough to buy a table at Costco and call themselves a massage therapist. Local MT's charge less, spas charge more.
