I gave a client with sore throat a treatment last week and ever since that night my throat has been scratchy and sore. I do have an obsidian pendant that I was told would protect me, and I try to send the clients energy back to them, but am I leaving myself open somewhere? Does anyone else 'feel' the clients energies in this way too? I was just wondering if I am still leaving myself open somewhere.

Dear kokopelli

There are lots of sore throat type bugs doing the rounds at the moment, so you might just be going down with something. I've never been in the situation where I've startedhaving the same symptoms as my clients. If you are worried about protecting yourself, some people imagine a large pane of glass between themselves and the other person. Nothing can get through it. Perhaps that will work for you?

hi kokopelli,[/align][/align]i dont pick up bad energies from my clients either... maybe i automatically protect myself but its not something i consciously do.[/align][/align]you could try closing your solar plexus and heart chakras, seeing as the clients feet are directed right at them. i did it once but forgot to do so again and have never felt bad effects.[/align][/align]do you start by pulling off the clients bad energy and dropping it discreetly to the floor to be grounded? whenever i do "pulling off" moves, i am careful with what i just pulled off![/align]

I close with a sort of pulling off move, so that's similar. With 4 kids I am bound to be exposed to what's going round anyway. Maybe I'll seal off at the beginning like you suggest.
