Reading and Info

Hi there

I am just starting to investigate the possibility of doing a reflexology course. I have had a quick look on this forum and found it very interesting.

Wouldanyone be able tell me what the difference between I.T.E.C courses and other courses are. I have found the I.T.E.C course to be very expensive and found a course half the price somewhere else (but not an I.T.E.C course) could someone tell me the difference. Is it worth paying the extra for the I.T.E.C course??

I also thought it would be beneficial for me to do some reading before startign a course and wondered if anyone could recommmend any books?

I found prices to be high as well but found that my local adult ed college teaches the ITEC course and also provides access funds if you are on no or limited income, so if that includes you, maybe worth looking into?
Also, some courses are short or 'leisure' courses, not leading to a nationally recognised qulaification so you wouldn't be able to practise as a professional once you finished. You don't say what this other course is. do you know? Thee are others than ITEC such as the VTCT one others on here are doing, along with a couple of others, sure you wll get more responses! :0)

The course i am thinking of doing doesnt say if it is an ITEC, VTCT etc. It just says its a Certificated & Accredited Diploma course. So i have made a call to them and i am waiting the hear back.

There are so many different coursesto choose from and i want the course i choose to be right for me.
