Often we hear - particularly from schools trying to recruit students - facts about careers that make them seem like the perfect choice for us and they will take us places quickly and earn plenty of money.
I understand that Massage Therapy is difficult and the burnout rate is very high, understandably. I am prepared for that. However, recently I have been given stories from two completely opposite ends of the spectrum - one that says MT is the best career to choose because of it's growth and projected growth, and one that says it is extremely difficult to earn a livable income and I may be better off choosing a different occupation.
My problem is that I WANT to do this. My husband is uncomfortable with - no, against it because of the latter, more discouraging story. Because massage therapy is generally part time, I do plan on having another trade. If any of you reading this are Massage Therapists, can you please tell me about your experience in the job market? I would also love to hear from those of you who have reached and passed the 2 year burnout rate.
Thank you in advance.
