ok, had to post this as a caution to everyone. I went to get a massage at a new place (thrill of the hunt) on the north side recently. After waiting for almost half an hour over the scheduled time the therapist showed up. Place is a nail salon with not much privacy. Got ushered into a really small room, undressed, draped myself with a sheet and she was back. Asked if I wanted a body scrub so I said sure, why not? Here's where it gets weird....I can hear the conversations going on in the room beside me crystal clear ( thin walls) and my therapist starts moaning and groaning while massaging...wait for it...my calf! She was all over the place, falling into the wall, moaning and groaning! I was at a complete loss and the people conversing in the room beside me obviously heard her. They even called her out once and asked her what was going on but she came back in and continued with the groaning. It was way too weird for me so I asked her to wipe off the scrub and I left...almost $90 lighter mind you because I just wanted out and didn't want to argue with her "boss". The guy that runs the nail salon I guess.
If you see an ad for a nail salon on 97st offering massage and body scrubs you may want to think twice.
