Reception desk!!!!

I am almost going crazy after spent almost two weeks on trying to get one reception desk that will fit my space.  How do you guys get yours?

I got mine from IKEA. I bought a series of 44 inch high (I think) bookshelves & a beautiful angled desktop. We put it together so that behind the desk AND in front had shelving. The front is for retail product like Biofreeze, etc & brochures. The back has baskets organizing our office stuff. I love the height & have two barstools: one in front/one in back. That way the client is comfortable standing to check out or reschedule or we can both sit across from one another & chat, drink tea, etc. We totally love it! The colors are beautiful & the cost:  about $300, including the stools! Reception desks like in the salons I have worked before cost about 3 or $4000! Get creative!Jill/Sagetherapist

Jill, did you buy it from the website? Is it a reception desk, or a regular one that youre using as a reception desk? I have been racking my brain looking for "the one" for my shop. Im using a regular office desk now, and I hate it! If you have a model number or something....ANY info will be greatly appreciated!! :}

Reception desk!!!!

The one I really like is one like thisf(rom National Business Furniture).  But it's too big for my reception area.  NBF said they can custom it for me but the people thire working soooooo slow that I doubt if they are working.  Maybe my order is not big enough compare to those companies?   :-/Anyway, this one is expensive though. It's about $1200, shipping is going to be another $200.Hope I can get some hint from segatherapist.......

Reception desk!!!!

I used the Galant desktop (top only.... no legs, no tracks, etc)... the one that runs straight & then angles off to the left. The bookcases are the Billy collection.Jill/Sagetherapist
