reflex points

hey guys

i was just wondering does anyone know where i could find somewhere on the internet to help me work out what reflexes to work for certain problems or conditions. i need to know what reflexes to work for someone with fallen arches and someone with M.E.

or does anyone have a list of these. im really stuck and can't find these on the internet anywhere or in my books.

With chronic fatigue/ME, it is best if you can find out what triggered it in the first place, i.e. if it's stress then you need to make sure you work the stress points too (solar plexus, diaphragm, kidney, etc) or if it's post viral, then you'd need to boost the immune system (so, spleen, lymphatics, thymus, etc). Whatever the cause, personally, I would always work the pituitary, spleen and liver for balance and energy. Other reflexologists might have some other ideas?

There aren't reflexes to work for fallen arches (not much you can do to help with this unfortunately!). Some people think such foot conditions are reflective of spinal disorders, but you have to bear in mind there are many causes.

You probably won't find much reliable advice for what reflexes to work on the internet, however you might find a book helpful- Hands on Reflexology; A Complete Guide, Andrew James.

The best way to work out what reflexes will be the most beneficial to work, are to speak to the client and work out what is causing the condition in the first place. Treating just the symptoms will really only provide short term relief. You will probably find stress underlies most conditions you come across. Alternatively, you can look the condition up and find out causes that way, if you're not already familiar with it. It's a good way to add to your general knowledge and understanding of disorders.

Try Googling 'flat feet and reflexology' or 'fallen arches and reflexology' Loads of information there. I have just tried it.

Also try this for ME as well. i.e. 'ME and reflexology'. You will be surprised how much information you can get by trying different searches.

For flat feet, I would, of course, work all areas, but concentrate on the spine and also the foot to hip area, including the knee.
