Hi
Glad you've found out about Susanne. If you e-mail her she will e-mail you back with a list of all her courses and what is covered in them.
Yes, the reflexes on the feet are the same, but with pregnancy there are many reflex points which need to be avoided/treated carefully. There are other areas which need special treatment. Reflexology is used by some women to help bring on their periods and labour - and that's sometimes avoiding the most known points - so you can see why it could be dangerous in early pregnancy, and why it is best to have covered it all in a good course.
You need to learn all about the physiological changes in women during pregnancy, and also about what is happening throughout the 39 weeks in the womb. The specialist courses cover the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, and then the specific points/moves for a pregnant woman at various stages of the pregnancy. You also cover pre-conception and post natal care.
Reflexology can be very powerful, and I believe if anyone wants to treat specialist areas they should get the training for it. This covers you as a professional, and the client feels safe knowing that you have trained.
If you go back through some of the old reflexology threads you will find ones on pregnancy training and Susanne Enzer.
Hope that helps
