reflexology at end of massage treatment

I have recently qualified in Reflexology. A regular massage client has asked me to include some reflexology at the end of his massage next week.

I've agreed to do so, but am not too sure how to go about shortening the routine.

I would really appreciate any advice at this time.

Hi Marion[/align][/align]If you transpose your foot massage into a short reflex treatment and only work mainly on the areas that indicate need, then reflexology fits nicely into a full body massage, without taking up all of your time, you are treating the full body anyhow, so just look at it as a booster to what you are already accomplishing with massage.[/align]

Footwork during massage is blissful in my experience Marion, and excellent advice here from Paul I feel. If in doubt then perhaps some general relaxing moves and work head, toes and spinal reflexes would be good? Also some zone walking.

Hi Marion, interesting as I have had the same thing recently. My client wanted a longer reflexology session and so we discussed shortening the full body massage to a back massage. This gave me the chance to do more reflexology work. I basically worked on the main systems, CNS, endocrine, digestive etc and did some relaxation as At One said. I have done this twice with this client and she felt fantastic afterwards.

However, I really like Paul's advice of the short reflex treatment during the foot massage. I find that when I am massaging the feet now I am desperate to do a bit of reflexology on certain points!! So I may just do a tad during a full body. Interesting thread.

I am also a Junior Member and find several threads of value as I pick up on the experiences of others. In this case, I am one who frequently 'throws in' some reflexology as part of a full body aromatherapy treatments and my clients thoroughly enjoy it. Like another respondent, I try and focus on those reflexes that I consider most appropriate to a client's situation, but include head, spine and all points on toes
