Reflexology Charges

Hi

Can anyone tell me what they charge for a Reflexology treatment? I qualified in England a year ago and i am only now doing some treatments through an Acupuncturists clinic.

I am now living in Canada. I am currently charging $55 Canadian Dollars for 45 minutes. I feel this is quite low as if converted to pounds is probably only about 27 pounds. I have been told not to convert though as your money goes further here and a lot of things are cheaper.

What do you charge? Do you think i am charging to little? The Acupuncturist is also taking 30% of what i earn because i currently don't pay rent on the room and he is referring his clients to me. Does that percentage sound fair to you also? I have no idea what i am doing, i have no business sense and i cannot see this venture making me any money to help pay a mortgage, bills, etc...

Awkard one really, since you dont want to under/over charge. Have you researched the prices in the surrounding areas to where you are for the same treatment/time etc ?
I am a mobile reflexologist living and working in central London and charge £45 for a treatment which lasts an hour(sometimes more if client wants to chat a little, you know how it is !!) but some websites I have looked at mobile therapists charge a lot more, so I ask myself am I happy with the fee I have set and the answer is yes. As for the percentage fee taken, sorry cant help you with that one as has never applied to me, but sure that someone on here can help you.

I think 30% of your takings is good deal, especially if you are getting referrals. 50% would be a rip off. 60% would be outrageous! You have to remember that running a clinic is very expensive, otherwise we all be starting up our own centres.

As for what people charge in the UK, well that depends on the area. In SW England for example not many therapists are charging not more than £25. I get this impression after doing a recent internet search of reflexologists websites. I charge £30 per hour because of experience and because this is my standard massage charge.

Would be interesting to hear other opinions.

You will have to researh what others in the area are charging
Then put your prices on a par with those around you
Undercharging my get you more custom
But most people will not believe you to be as good ad those that are more expensive
Over charge and they will stay with those that they know
Have fun out there, it should be more than a business
