Reflexology during IVF

Hello all,

I'm looking for some advice, a new client may be starting IVF treatment soon and I just wondered whether giving reflexology during this time would be a good idea or would it be too much for the client being bombarded with hormones and then reflexology trying to balance them out? Would reflexology up to IVF be a better option?

Hi

I tend to treat on the lead up to get the body in a good condition before treatment then gentle treatments through IVF, then gentle treatments mainly for relaxation throughout the rest of the cycle. I found this to work brilliantly. I am not there to stimulate the ovaries as the drugs are already doing this, however helping the uterus to form a good lining to aid implantation is very useful for the treatment.

There are some thoughts around that relfexology could try and antagonize the drugs but in my experience this in not the case, infact the reduction in anxiety and better health which has been balanced through treatments before starting the cycle through having reflexology actually improves chances of conception.....

Hope that helps. Have you thought about doing a fertility/maternity course? Moshe Kruchik's is excellent. I know there are courses which have not been published yet.

I give the ovaries a quick 'tickle' but do not work them as such..... more of a reminder.....
