Reflexology...in The Mail on Sunday

Hello All,
My mother has just handed me the paper(mail on sunday) and theres a massive full page spread on reflexology.....stating that this treatment is now available on the NHS.Theres a foot map...and self help tips on how to treat sorethroats, heartburn and pms.....it was very interseting and also funny to find yet again a different foot map! The article was by Louise Keet: Britians leading practitioner.

Did anyone else see it?

Reading this makes me think that they think reflexology is available on the NHS because this seems to be a veiled advert for nhsdirectory? People may assume that, because a practitioner is listed on this directory, they can get the treatment on the NHS!

Yes, that treatment position is very odd and very uncomfortable! I suspect that was the photographer wanting a 'better' illustration of the client and practitioner!!

When Louise (and Mike) taught me, the charts they used showed the heart on the dorsal aspect. So since these charts are only plantar, you wouldn't see it.

The article actually states that reflexology is available on the NHS, and it's a blatant ad for the NHS directory. I've sent in a comment about that, but I completely forget to say anything about the clothing (or lack of) shown in the picture to accompany the article. I'm pretty sure Louise didn't have much of a say on the pictures they used, and editorial "headers and footers" tend to be put in by the editorial staff. So the stuff about the NHS and the directory may, again, have been put in without her knowledge.
