Reflexology Training

Hi

Sorry if this has already been covered but I cannot find this subject anywhere

I would like to train in reflexology. I cannot attend a full time course and was looking into home study.

I have had a look at The International Institute of reflexology [link=http://www.reflexology-uk.co.uk/]http://www.reflexology-uk.co.uk/[/link]and would be interested to find out if anyone else has used these and any comments on the course.

I would also be grateful for any other training advise.

Thanks fora quick reply. I have had a look at the top of this thread and there is only past exam papers. Maybe I am missing something.

Noticed from your website you are a Reiki Master. I have completed Reiki 2 and find this very interesting. Want to use this along with reflexology.

My apologies ... I am not a reflexologist, as you've now realised, and the thread title suggested to me it might be about training organisations. I confess I was just about to log out then, and didn't open it.

Hopefully someone who knows what they're talking about will be able to answer your question. In the meantime, have you looked in the Student & Training forum?

I believe a number of people do indeed combine Reiki with Reflexology. About Reiki generally, do visit the Reiki forum, now known as Reiki & Other Energy Healing ... there are some interesting discussions there with people from all levels of Reiki, and some just considering it for the first time.

I am starting my reflexology training in September and I work fulltime. If you look at the AOR website you will find lots of training places all over the country and as far as I could make out there are quite a lot that do part time - ie one day a month over a year and usually on a weekend which is how I'm doing it.

Most people on my course worked full time and fitted their training and home based study around that. There are many schools offering a variety of courses eg ITEC, Association of Reflexologists, International Federation of Reflexologists... Find out which ones you can travel to and get an idea of when they run courses and what the training costs. Work out if you have the time to all the stuff at home too - all the case study workload and the coursework, not to mention getting to grips with Anatomy and Physiology. There is SO much to learn, and experience to gain. It's a really big commitment but very worthwhile.
