Reiki Tables, Massage Tables and which ones are the best?

I have up to $400 to spend right now, hopefully more later but this might be all i can work with for a while. I'm looking for something that is made of good quality solid wood (no metal or plastic - I don't know what's available so if i say something that isn't correct or possible please let me know.), has arm rests, an adjustable and good quality head rest (I've heard some fall apart easier than others), the ability to support larger clients (weight as well as height - probably no more than 6 and 1/2 feet tall). I'm new to this, and I will be working with Reiki but depending on how interested I get will go to Massage School as well.

I've searched online for reviews, but I don't know enough about the subject of tables to know the best place to look, features of tables, or even tables to look at, or the places and tables I need to stay away from.

At the very least, check the clearance & reconditioned models from the various manufacturers. Sometimes they've been returned due to a small flaw or because the color someone ordered was wrong, etc. That way you can
find a table for less money.

Even ebay has some good ones listed - though if you're shopping for an important item like a table - always check out the vendors approval rating for satisfied customers - you want someone with a great satisfaction/approval rating!

As to your question, though we've covered the subject before as maestra posted on the link, I personally love my center locking cable system. Though my table cost close to double what you say you have to spend - it was worth it - in my opinion. Do your homework & research any table you're considering & get the best you can afford - as you'll likely be using it for a very long time. Plus keep in mind that your clients will notice if your table isn't comfortable - so be sure the padding is good quality!

It's not unusual to find a table someone is selling because they just don't want it anymore - so keep your eye out for ads in Craigslist or elsewhere too.
