Remembering a loved one
Remembering a loved one
He was one of the two most influencial people in my life, and one of my two best friends. Two years have passed, since I held your hand, you took your last breath and you found your piece with God. Your struggle with illness and pain never went unnoticed for twenty years with your wife and son by your side. You are sadly missed by family and friends and always will be. You battled with heart disease, pacemaker and defibrilator on your heart, and you required new knees but it was late your heart was too weak. You fought courageously for four years until it was time for you to go be with your daughter, my sister, and my mother at peace. You have been reunited with your wife of fifty years, two months and two days two years on this date, and I know that the three of you are looking down from above. I was truly blessed to have you as a father and best friend. It was my honour to have been able to keep you and mother in our home before you both moved onto your next home. It's get alittle easier each year but never forgotten. Father, you never missed a football game 17 years and were there at the skydome as our team hoisted the Vanier cup, you never a missed basketball or soccer game in 12 years, and when I thought I had failed, you woke me up and made me persue higher education.
I really miss you both, but it gets alittle better daily.
I have our family clan tartans for from Scotland and France with swords intersecting and touching each crest. You are always behind me and we are always together.
Father April 2, 1932-April 8, 2008
Mother September 22, 1931-December 4, 2004
