After 13yrs working in the same building, I have had to move due to sale of building. Since Feb 2011, I've rented a large room in a small spa which consists of 3 rooms and merchandise space. The lessor has lost one tenant, another to leave in May, and the lessor is in the midst of a divorce. As you can see, this leaves me and the lessor (sublets space) to pay the rent to the owner. I have spoken to her regarding the future of the space and my ability to remain in the building and she is not being forthcoming as to whether or not she will be able to keep the space. However, she has asked me if I know of anyone who might wish to rent or if I have any ideas to create more income. I am at a loss as to what to do. I would like to stay and perhaps find a way to increase revenue but not sure its my place. Questions are: Any ideas to increase revenue? Is it my place to help her? Should I wait it out and contact owner directly?
