rental fees for chair massg.

I am trying to figure out how to go about getting into chair massg. in my area.  I know of only one other therapist who is doing some.  My questions areo I pay a corporation a fee to bring my chair there?  I have 2 options for chairs, rent the one from the owner of the salon I work at.....what would a fair price be?  Or, use my body cushion system.Have any of you used the body cushion?  It is demonstrated for chair massg.I don't want to invest in a chair until I can see that it is profitable.Thanks.  I appreciate all the info I've been reading.  This is my first time here and I'm excited about this forum as a resource tool.jp

hi and welcome!  ;D please come and post often~about you questions...there has been a lot of threads here about getting into corporate chair work. keep reading; it's great information.i don't know if i'd pay a company to work their employees. health fairs/convention work is a different story. an alternative to buying or renting a chair is to buy a desktop portable unit. they go for far less than a chair~ i think they're less than $200. and it's even cheaper if you happen to buy a desktop from the same manufacturer as your table so your face rest pillow can be used for both.i don't do a lot of corporate work. i used to have a chair. i sold it. most of my corporate clients actually like that i offer clothed massage on a table. it seems almost more luxurious to really lay prone for 15 or 20 minutes. (make sure to cover ladies legs who wear skirts) i also found that some folks are wary of the chair, but not the table.if space is not an issue, you may not have to buy a chair at all. good luck to ya.hope to see you around.

Thanks.  I have the Body Cushion system.  Are you familar with it?I was thinking of offering chair massg. at our hospital.  They used to have an area set for table massg. but it was in a separate building and it didn't go well and fell by the wayside.  I was hoping for a spot in the lobby where the employees, as well as visitors, buy gourmet coffee.  The coffee spot is rented.jp

yup, i know that cushion  sorry though, i'm not real versed with using it other than on a table or floor... :-[i thought i saw a couple of mentions here about hospital work. perhaps you can do a search. it may not have been the title of the thread.
