Looks like these guys have done an impressive job of rebuilding a formerly OK nightclub, at lease it was about 5 - 6 years ago when I was last there.

According to the news paper article the club is geared towards Ticos. Prices are 5000 colones entrance which included 3 drinks. Table dance 3000, private dance 5000. Seems they still have the airplane because they say a 7 minute show in the plane is 5000 colones. Jacuzzi requires the purchase of a bottle (doesn't say but I guess they mean champagne) which starts at $150.00 U.S.

I wouldn't immediately assume the place will be a rip-off. It IS POSSIBLE (though highly unlikely) that the new owners (if they are new) will follow the "other" business model and try for repeat business. Let's wait for someone to go there and report back. another IMPORTNT point.....DON'T EVER

Disregard all of the above concerning prices. The newspapers quoted Tico prices. The "new" Tango India club has two sets of prices. One set for Ticos and one set for all others.

Prices (quoted in dollars approximately):

Entrance: $10 Ticos / $20 Gringos
For this you get two beers or three house drinks (not call drinks).

Table dance: $5 Ticos / $10 Gringos

Private dance (one song): $10 Ticos / $20 Gringos

Three song private dance (no sex): $20 Ticos / $45 Gringos

One regular drink for a dancer: $11 Gringos
One glass of wine for a dancer: $17 Gringos
One glass of champagne for a dancer: $21 Gringos (as I recall)
Ticos about half those prices.

Sex (one hour): $600 minimum! Broken down: $300 for the girl and a bottle of "champagne" for the club's take. Champagne prices are: $300 and $400 and $500 and $600 and $700 (take your pick). So if you are frugal, you get a bargain price of $600 for an hour of sex and a bottle of cheap "champagne". If you want to impress someone, you can pay $700 or $800 or $900 or $1,000. I have been told that only the girl is allowed to drink the champagne. The customer needs to buy something else to drink. I have also been told the reason the customer can't drink the champagne is because it is ginger ale. I can't verify this, but it makes sense. Why else would the customer not be allowed to drink the "champagne"?

On the plus side, the club itself is very pretty. They claim to have 50 dancers. They did have a bunch of them. The dancers overall are not as beautiful as one would expect for these prices. A few pretty ones and a few not very pretty and most in the middle.

Wouldn't it be great if we could figure out a way to have the Policia close them down for dicriminating AGAINST the Gringos by charging us more money for everything?If a club tried this shit in the States they would be closed down poste haste, if not burned down.

Actually Disney has had a "Florida Resident Discount" for their theme parks in Orlando for years. Sorta the same thing.

I guess it just goes to show there is still an ongoing belief that even in 2009 there are still enough gringos out there who are willing to pony up this kind of cash and not do the research. How would you guys react if I told you it happens in the USA also?

Yesterday a friend, who does not have a computer, asked me to find him the best deal on a rent a car for a trip he is taking in early April. He needs the car at the Orlando airport (MCO).
