Repost ''Come in for a chat when you can'' what does it mean?

I asked this guy to help me to find work placement within his organisation which I volunteered with in te past. He knows that I am looking for a job. I told him about this few times and he asked to send him my up-to-date Cv, but he did not get back to me. Then I reminded him about it and he said ' give me a little time'. two months later, I reminded him again and he said ' come in for a chat when you can after the break''.

what does this mean

Imagine if you get the job and your boss says "answer the phone when it rings" or "file that piece of paper".

Presumably you'll be posting questions on Yahoo Answers asking... "what does my boss mean when he asks me to answer the phone?" ..."what should I do with the paper if my boss tells me to file it?"

Sheesh.

It probably means he has potential work for you. You should go in and chat with him.
