Just wondering if you have ever had that kind of masseuse that you just thoroughly loved but thought "Gee, if only I could get her to just change this one thing about her massage..." Or "If only I could get her to do ------- like so-and-so does. She would be perfect!"

Have you ever made a request to a masseuse to modify her technique? I know a lot of them have been in the business for so long that they have their routine and can't seem to do anything different (Sunny comes to mind...) Others can't even seem to change from a "light" massage to medium or deep!
Specifically (like others, I'm sure!) I wish they could learn how to do more teasing, because, other than that, they give a great massage; have a nice personality, etc. I just really hate it when I get a great massage and then- "Ok flip over! Let's get this out of the way..." before they fill the rest of the time after "the finale" rubbing your legs. PM's are welcome.

Never made any requests…but like you certainly thought about it lots! I like many aspects of many therapists. You are right wish I could combine them all together!

Yes, I have had success in requesting changes that actually got implemented. But only in those situations where I already was and continued to be a "very frequent" repeat customer. If it is a casual therapist whom I don't plan on seeing more than once a month, I do not consider my wishes to hold any influence.

However, if I have a deeper connection and I am seeing her at least 4x a month, maybe 6x to 8x (800 to 1600) with a variety of mutual interactions, then I expect some evolution in services to make things even better. Or I am ready to move on. The problem comes from the fact that most pooners are happy with sub-par services. We've got to draw the line that we will not settle for 'plonk'. Our money is hard earned.

Yes. I can see if you had a more serious connection with a therapist (and therefore more 'valuable to her!) she might take suggestions more seriously so as not to lose serious income. But my pockets are not that deep! I'm a "once-a-month" kinda guy and if I'm really lucky, occasionally twice a month.

True enough, the problem lies in the fact that the sub-par providers still get enough traffic that makes them feel that they can get away without any improvements. All pooners have power (purchase power) and they got to believe in voting with it. One massage at a time. Or one hj at a time. The power to simply not visit, or say no to any extras.

So ultimately, it still comes down to money.
If you have it, you can frequent more often = the right to demand better (adjust the massage)

The less you have? = you can ask, but good luck with the suggested changes.

Catch 22 really, if they took serious constructive criticism from all, the repeats would definitely increase.

Exactly! Surely, they know about this forum? As a savvy SP you'd think they would take advantage of constructive criticism to get repeats and get good reviews.

Some of the girls have been eager to please but there was a language barrier. Making an extra effort to be easily understood (using your hands to motion and directed towards areas) and speaking clearly can do wonders. One gem was always reluctant to try new things, but at the next visit I didn't even need to ask. Others, well they are like robots running a program and nothing will change. Over the years I've come to the conclusion that all the good stuff from all the girls just ain't gonna fit in one massage session. And yes, gravitate towards the excellent and away from the unmotivated. The most motivated providers are the ones where there is mutual "like".
