'Respectable' Tico MP/Bar/Strip club recommendations?

To be able to fully enjoy my 3-4 remaining scheduled trips this year, I'm going to need to start moderating my free-spending ways to some degree. However, I have neither the time nor the inclination to go on a day-long "diamond-in-the-rough" treasure hunt of the Tico MP's, etc.

What, then, are some respectable Tico MP, bar or strip club options that have clean serviceable facilities and (usually) a good selection of chicas with good attitudes - in other words, the ones that are more likely to be 'hit' than 'miss'.

For me, Oasis is the very model of this type of place. Based on what I've seen and heard so far, here's a few others I'm tempted to try:

Manitas Traviesas (around the corner from Oasis)
Cha Cha Cha (otherwise known as Casa Lilac)
Krysis
Bar Camelot
Taberna VIP's

Based on past visits, Molina Rojo and Europa 2000 are definitely a pass. I wasn't that thrilled with Arcada's either.

Among the mid-range clubs - I know that neither Club Alcasar or Lipsticks would exactly be considered a bargain, but I'm curious because I've never been to either place. Can anyone who's been there recently offer an updated assessment?

BTW - not looking here for stuff about the places already well-covered on the board; i.e., BM, KL, ZB, NF, Idem, Oasis, Kamur, Pantera Rosa, Le Grillon, Tango India, D'Pelufo's.

GR,You could be asking for too much to be true as there is always some searching as you step down in price and to the tico places in general.There are several more places in the Oasis neighborhood as far as I am concerned the prime hunting ground for non hardcore working girls .You have VIP's massage about 4 blosks toward town, Veronicas,Siboneys and Kama Sutra(Kasandras Place).
One place you mentioned is one of my favorites now which I first visited last trip.That would be Bar Camelot.Diamond hunting is involved but a great place to have a drink and watch for your diamond.I also consider it cleaner than most of the local lower end places.The price is right at 5000col. per half hour.A lot of the girls seem to have day jobs and come in to work a while late afternoon and early evening.Drinks are cheap with 500 col beer and 750 drinks also same for girls but girls are freindly and will mix with the guys.
I have had fun times at Arcadas so you might give it anouther chance .I do get a bit bored with the places because they have a limited number of girls and same ones every night with only two or three top prospects.Anouther places at least worth a look is Bar Monaco girls mix well with guys and drinks aren't that expensive.Definitely daimond in the rough hunting involved though.
Of course I am the guy who likes Molino Rojo for its sleazzines espescially at 2 to 3 in the mornimg, prime time there for talent from outher clubs who didn't do enough business that night and need to make some colones.Rbc100

One more place came to mind.La Bealla Manision just reopened .I think I added to list it is on a corner.It was my first tico bar experience first trip and had a hell of a time.That was even before I knew about CRT.rbc100

1 of my favorite mp's is Veronicas-which doesn't get much press on this board but the 5 times I've been there always had at least 10 chicas available. I like to hit most of the low-end joints on my visits & @ many of them you'll find only 3 or 4 mediocore specimens. Veronicas is on the maps, near Oasis, & open @ 9:30am. I went back 3 times on my march visit & 2 weeks ago a tica named Gina satisfied me quite nicely. After visiting many of the others & going away chicaless, Veronicas has saved the day for me more than once. 12k for an hour was the latest rate. Worth a shot.

I seriously doubt you will find better value than what is already posted on this board. GR...you know better than most, dont you? :wink: If there were hidden gems...believe me...some of our "whoremongers" would have found them already.

I would add a negative to one of the mps mentioned in the first post. In terms of price, Krysis really isn't mid-range. Last time I went was a couple years ago, and the price was 18K at the time. Talent was hit-or-miss. I went 4-5 times, and found one spinner who was worth full fare. The rest were forgettable. Haven't been back since then.

A few more suggestions.Party in Time posted very recently about 3 not well know places down in the Idem and Pantera Rosa area.All are in the 10000 to 12000 col range MP's .Post gives excellent information on finding them as they are unmarked, I think.I will be checking them out next trip.rbc100

You have a good list Getrythym including several of my favorite places.I have stopped by Muses several times and seldom seen anything worthwhile only once I think.I encourage you to take a look but personally Oasis and the places near it all of which are good places are way ahead of Muses for the same price.One advantage is Muses has beds .I have taken a liking to Bar Camelot though it is very much a Tico place and the talent is hit an miss they have a great set up and you won't have the unfortunate experience of high bar like some strip clubs.Drinks are cheap and girls drinks are same price so great place to hang out and buy a girl or a few a drink and get aquained.Good luck and we may cross paths as I will be visiting many of the same places.Will also be reporting on La Mansion late this week when I arrive.rbc100
