Hi,Anyone have any suggestions as to what types of products might sell well to our massage clients and to the general public, from our clinic.  I was thinking a large wall unit display case of products as well as a sample testing counter.  Any products that you would suggest?  Any good sellers?  Any advice on starting to sell retail from massage clinic?Thank you.

When we first started our supply store we stocked items we use.  Assortment of lotions and oils, hot and cold packs, HCFAs, bottles, anatomical charts, bolsters, nail files, nail clippers, GC, brochures, post cards, jojoba oil, disposable face cradle covers, hand sanitizer. This way if we didn't get the store built up enough we could at least use the product our selves. We only bought gallon oils and lotions and people could fill a bottle with the amount they want. This gives everyone a better price and they can pump out a small amount to try. We added more items as we got suggestions. Then we knew what therapists in our area were using. We now carry the above items and added essential oils, memory foam products, sombra, mattress warmers, and more. We also added a resource center with information we have collected. Therapists that use the center can add information that they think could be useful. The biggest resource is business cards from all the therapists that use our store.

How about something fun, like "nukkles". I just saw them at a seminar I was at and I liked em so much I bought a pair. They are hard to describe, but are plastic squares with knobs on the corners so you can massage your partner. They feel amazing. Also very good to use on clients for the end of the massage.

I've had good luck selling bio-freeze, oils, and those wooden footsie rollers have been great, more of a fun, self massage item, oh and the head tinglers have been a great seller, again more of a fun thing.

I have a question on retail...  One of the Herbal Wrap solutions that have been recommended to me is by Life Force International.  I believe the web-site is http://www.lifeforce-intl.com  They also have other retail type of items that would fall under vitamins/supplements maybe even tinctures etc.  Where would I investigate to find out if I can retail these?  I don't think they can actually restrict what I retail.  Do I just have to be careful of my wording when recommending?  Instead of implying that I am recommending stating that the Life Force recommends  blah blah blah in conjuction with the wrap??

Our store is geared to other therapists in the area. It is in a room a little out of the way of reception and opposite of the treatment rooms. Most clients don't even notice. We do get some sales from clients who decide to browse the store. We do not promote our store to our clients but occasionally we will give them a sample. For example, if someone wants to know the lotion we use. I think this is the best approach to keep clients and customers separate. This way our clients don't feel pressure to purchase from us.
