I had read several reports about this place and was intrigued. Although I have been to many massage establishments over the last several years, I have never had what I would call a "Real" massage. It's only a short drive from where I live so I hopped in the car and headed up there. Contrary to what I've since read, it is possible to walk in without an appointment and get a session. I did, one hour with Anne.
Changs Holistic is in a very professional looking industrial plaza. I found the place and walked up the stairs to an open-concept sort of area where Anne was sitting. I met her and another Chinese lady who I assumed was Shirley, I didn't ask her name. I was asked if I had an appointment, how I knew about the place. I told them that I had seen the website. They were very friendly and showed me to the room and the shower. I took a shower and returned to the room, which was quite large and bright with anatomy diagrams on the walls.
Anne returned to the room before I had finished drying off. She motioned for me to get on the table, which I did. She placed a towel over my lower thighs. I'm not quite sure why. The lights were dimmed and the massage began. She checked with me too see what type of massage I wanted, medium please and Anne began her work. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed her massage. This was by far the best massage I have ever received. She used her hands, arms, legs, knees and I'm not quite sure what else because to be honest, I was in la-la land for the most part. This was great. This was a full-body massage from head to toe with ample time spent on fingers and toes and arms and legs and forehead and neck and nose and eyes and all parts in between.
I left feeling invigorated. Anne gave me a cup of tea to take with me. Shirley asked me on the way out if I had enjoyed my massage and of course I answered that I had. She told me that I was given Chinese Ginseng tea and that it would make me feel better and give me energy. I think the massage did that for me.
This place is a definite repeat for me. Anne was quite quiet through the most part while she was performing her magic but opened up for some conversation towards the end of the session. Nice girl and very skilled at what she does.
