Oshman, TOFTT usually has a negative conotation. It just means you took a gamble by seeing a un-reviewed provider. On a side note, is she really a Paki? If so, she would be rare in that sense.

@Osh- for what its worth, I think you used the phrase correctly. It is routinely accepted when someone suggests that somebody needs to toftt and check out provider xyz who has no reviews.

My feeling is that most members here like to take only the beaten path. It takes quite a bit of crazy to venture into new areas with new faces. I appreciate those that do.

Lucky for you the session paid off. It would however be advisable, in this case, to not have it in your review title. In the context of the review title, it would appear to be a contradiction.

In essence you took one for the team by checking her out, but it paid out in gold.

there are different phrasings to TOFTT

if you havent gone in and someone says TOFTT they are telling you to "TAKE one for the team." Go in for reconnaissance and be the first to find out, good or bad.

if you WENT in already and you use the phrase TOFTT then that usually means you "TOOK one for the team" and it was just a flat out bad experience.

take vs took that's the difference but its an important distinction

Taking One For The Team implies sacrifice on the part of the individual for the good of the rest - like throwing yourself headlong in front of a line of tacklers headed for the QB. Definitely a painful experience.

I think its crazy enough to see verified providers, but absolutely insane to see a provider with no reference what so ever.

If you get caught up in something, no words or actions will get you out of that mess.

That risk was there when he saw her.

Further when someone suggests that a member should take one for the team. They are not asking them to go have a bad session or worse.

They are asking them to take "the risk" that it might be a possible outcome.

This is just reasoning that makes sense to me. I am more than happy let you believe differently. I just feel very confident in my grasp of language. That inturn makes me feel that I should explain my point of reasoning when I am being told I am wrong.
