The Rhode Island Department of Health has suspended the license of a massage therapist, following a complaint this week from a patient.
Anthony Conti, who had been suspended in 2022 for having sex with a patient, was suspended again this week, after a patient said Conti โ€œwhile engaging in the practice of massage therapy, inappropriately touched [their] buttocks and genitals at a facility in Warwick."

โ€œThe Department has credible evidence that on or about September 1, 2023, [Conti] violated the massage therapy statute [under Rhode Island General Laws] by inappropriately touching the buttocks and genitals of Patient A while providing massage therapy services," stated RIDOH.

โ€œThe Director of RIDOH has reviewed the faces and conclusions in this case and further finds that public health, safety, or welfare imperatively requires emergency action,โ€ stated RIDOH.
