RIPON — A massage parlor raid in Ripon led to the arrests of two women accused of soliciting prostitution.
The Ripon Police Department conducted undercover operations Tuesday at ABC Massage on Colony Road and Lily Spa on Wilma Avenue, police said.
Undercover operatives responded to each of the businesses and during the investigation they were reportedly propositioned by a masseuse for a sex act, according to Lt. Steve Merchant with the Ripon Police Department.
The sting operation was part of an ongoing investigation into reports of illegal activities at local massage businesses, police said.
The masseuse at ABC Massage, 55-year-old Cheo Tee Ong of Ripon, was arrested on suspicion of solicitation of prostitution. She was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on a single misdemeanor charge.
The masseuse at Lily Spa, 44-year-old Tingye Yang of Modesto was arrested on suspicion of solicitation of prostitution. She was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on a single misdemeanor charge.
