room rental only

Do the mp's allow for room rental only 1-2hrs if you bring someone yourself? If so how much?

Yes, all if not most of the MPs will rent out their rooms to couples, no matter what the circumstances or their profession. Just pay their published fee and there should be no problem. After all, it's just extra income for the house, and most of them are suffering a little bit these days. Call ahead of time though giving them a couple of hours notice to ensure availability. You might want to have a backup, in case business ramps up when you get there.

Typical room fees are:

60min - $50

45min - $40

30min - $30

Multiples of these are negotiable...

Why would you say they are suffering these days? I use to drive up and poon in Van but with the lousy usa dollar and gas I dont anymore.

The dollar isn't what it used to be and I'm not able to drive up as I did the previous years. Plus, I haven't been able to find the right places for pooning in Seattle (I must be looking in the wrong places). Just my 2 cents, ...

Is there any motel/hotel rent by the hour in Van ?

Some hotels provide "day" rentals anywhere from a minimum of 4 hours to a max of 8 hours. Some hotels offer "business meeting" rentals. I remember the Executive Inn in Coquitlam used to offer that service, where you can rent a room for a meeting for 2-3 hours. It's a stripped down room, but usually still has a bed or couch funnily enough.

Look in the Stranger ads, there are some Asian tanning and MP opening up in Seattle, its no where like the Vancouver scene but at least you dont have to spend gas money.

A good one is Avalon on Aurora.

Almost any small motel will do the "day" rate which is typically $40 -$50. Try the east side of Vancouver or in Surrey along KG Hwy or 104 Ave.

If I recall correctly, they were not good.

It is great to hear that Executive Inn in Coquitlam has day rate. Do you know whether Executive Inn in Burnaby (i.e. on Lougheed and Willingdon) has the same offer? Last year I paid $120 there.
