The owner of a now-defunct St. Anthony massage studio has been accused of fondling a female client.
Wade Rio Wutschke, 55, of New Brighton was charged Thursday with criminal sexual conduct in Ramsey County District Court, stemming from a 2012 incident when he worked at a massage studio in Roseville.
In November, Wutschke was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in Hennepin County for fondling a woman at Tropical Treat Massage, a business he owned in St. Anthony. The city revoked his license after he was charged in July.
Wutschke and his attorney could not be reached Thursday.
According to the most recent criminal complaint, a woman filed a report with police after she recognized Wutschke in a July news report regarding allegations he touched a client inappropriately during a massage. The woman told Roseville police that Wutschke had touched her inappropriately in April 2012 during a session at Massage Envy in Roseville, but that she hadn't previously reported the incident "because she was shocked and didn't know what to do," the complaint said.
The woman said she went to the massage studio for a birthday massage. Near the end of the session, Wutschke reached under the towel and fondled the woman's genital area and then told her, "You got a little something extra," the complaint said.
His next Ramsey County court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 26.
According to last year's charges, Wutschke fondled the breasts of a female client who came to his St. Anthony massage studio on July 1.
He ended the session by kissing her on the cheek and putting his finger to his lips, saying, "Shhhh," the charges said. The woman filed a police report the same day; Wutschke was charged two days later. He pleaded guilty in September. In November, a Hennepin County judge placed Wutschke on probation for five years.
