Dr Navya Handa, dermatologist, cosmetologist, and laser surgeon, Primus Super Speciality Hospital explained that a katori face massage is a skincare technique that involves the use of a small bowl or cup, often referred to as a ‘katori’ in Hindi, to provide a gentle and relaxing massage to the face.
“This massage is typically performed using face oil or moisturiser to enhance the soothing and hydrating effects,” she mentioned.
Dr Handa shared the following benefits of a katori face massage:
*Relaxation: The gentle strokes and pressure of the katori massage can help relax facial muscles and reduce tension, promoting a sense of relaxation.
