ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - An open house and information session is set for March 5 to celebrate ten years of the Massage Therapy program at Rock Valley College.
The event takes place from 2-6 p.m. at RVC’s main campus, CL II, room 127.
RVC says the Massage Therapy program’s instructors bring expertise from exercise science, physical therapy and hands-on massage therapy with more than 36 years of combined experience in physical therapy and almost 20 years in massage therapy.
The program emphasizes hands-on learning, allowing students to practice in real-world settings. Students have the opportunity to practice massage techniques on their instructors and fellow licensed therapists in order to get direct, professional feedback.
Guest instructors, including Nathalie Cecelia, Karry Wolf, Earl Conner, Chuck LaFrano, Jim Funk, Erik Dalton and Doug Nelson, help students gain exposure to new techniques and industry-leading practices.
Whether students are looking for a career change or want to become a dual-licensed professional, RVC says their Massage Therapy program meets a wide range of needs.
