Hi all

I'm hoping you can help me please.
I am currently setting up my own mobile business and in doing so, a friend and myself are going to be having an evening of holistic therapy.
We will be doing a demo of IHM & Reflex, and offereing tasters in these lasting about 15mins.

My question to all you good people is what would you cover with regard to treamtent? Would you just do the back or maybe scalp and face?
What would you cover for a consultation, I understant that a signature is needed.
We want to get it right as we are promoting our profession, the last thing we want to do is look amateur!

I did a taster evening last week, doing mostly Indian Head. We did 20 min sessions, so I did the lot, neck, back, shoulders, arms, scalp and face. As it was a taster I thought the people should have a taste of everything, although you obviously couldn't spend too long in any particular area.

As for consultation, I just asked if they had had any recent accidents, operations or where receiving medication or treatment from a Doctor. I didnt ask them to sign anything and there was no fee involved as it was a free taster, so I felt they were having the treatment as their own risk.

It was a great evening, everybody seemed to really enjoy it. I hope your's goes as well.

Hi Longton

You could have some consultation sheets ready to pass round while you are doing your demo and ask them to list anything that may be contra to a treatment and that could save a bit of time when you are doing their treatment. I agree that you should do a bit of everything, 15 mins is sufficient to cover most areas.

I did this for a school fundraiser and yes you can just about cover everything in 15 mins although i was tempted to give more to clients i felt needed i only had to look at the queue forming to keep to time lol. i did leave forms listing contra indicaions and a disclaimer for people to sign and was glad i had thought about that as the more experienced /professional people who were offering other therapies had all done the same It did seem to add to the professional look.
