Sam's Club Lightweight Portable Table?

Hi folks! I need a lightweight portable to keep in my car. I'm tired of lugging the 40 pounder, and it's wearing it down.

I joined Sam's club specifically to get one of their due to the low cost. They have the really lightweight aluminum ones that are about 25 lbs.

But there are a few models. Anyone have experience with them or can suggest which one to purchase?

I am also interested to hear other's experiences with Sam's Club tables... specifically the Montana Salon Size Portable Massage Table - 30".

I've had friends who bought tables from there, but the only ones I've seen have been the 25" wide and they seemed so narrow - I didn't even notice the other qualities because I couldn't get past the feeling I was going to fall off! But for all I know, the other aspects of the table may have been great.

I had a Sam's Club table for a while. I can't remember the brand, but it was right in the $200 range.
It was wide enough (30"), and seemed very well put together. Only came in a green color, though.

I didn't really ever have a problem with it. It was only a "second table" for me as I was working 2 places, and I sold it to the salon I was working for when I left that job.

I bought a Sam's Club table (Duralite from Master Massage Tables) in mid-January. (They carried them in store then, perhaps for the holidays?)
I have used it weekly ever since and find the fact that it is 27 lbs instead of 37-40 much easier to handle. I work in a spa now but have a few clients that I still see in their homes.)
Because it's more plush, I also don't have to take as many linens to make my old table comfortable for the client.
The table legs on mine are wood, the top has an aluminum frame. Every time I talked about buying a new table my clients were all in adamant that I didn't have to. That my old table was already so comfortable...
But one massage on the new table convinced them that I'd made a wise decision! Plus, hauling around less weight on my back is better for me... and leaves more energy for giving the massage!!!

I have heard horror stories about the Sams Club tables. My instructor has warned us about buying them, and several past students said they are very wobbly and have even broken with heavy weight.

I need a cheap table to, but I'm afraid to take that chance!! :shock:

They now carry other tables - not the old "Sams Club" tables, but brand name tables. I heard horror stories about the old ones, too - including how incredibly heavy they were!

Whew! Thank you for the warning and then the update, because I just joined and spent $40 on membership!
