Sandwich Board

I'm looking into designing a sandwich to draw people in. Besided my business name and logo what else should I put on it (my specialties)? I'm trying to decide if I want to do a plain chalk board or digital imaging (I think I'm going towards digital imaging). I also wanted to have a place where I can put daily or weekly specials. Other massage therapists in the area just have a sandwich board with their business name...very simple and plain. I want to really catch people's eye. I'd like to place potted plants around or on it as well. And ideas would be appreciated. Also, if anyone has any pictures of their sandwich board who don't mind sharing that would be great.

We don't currently have a sandwich board, but we have been thinking of getting one. So, this is a good thread for me to be seeing right now.

Along with Pete's suggestion of including your url and phone #, I was thinking that perhaps you could have a section for "static" info (your logo, contact info, etc.), and a space for "changeable info" (specials, info pertaining to specific events, etc..)- perhaps have a write-on space (chalkboard, white board), or interchangeable printed boards that can somehow attach to the unit.

LOL.... seriously.... I see people everywhere driving with the magnets on their car, that look so interesting and my curiosity is perked to check them out, but we're stopped at a red light, and there's NO contact info, just a business name on the magnet, no way to call or look them up online... I wonder how much business they lose out on that way.... I can't even let them know, because they didn't make any contact info available, ROFLOL!

I think a "changeable" area is a great idea but I think I would avoid a dry-erase/chalk board as it would be too easily erased by random jokers - I'd feel compelled to check it every so often to make sure my message is still there. I think having that as either a velcro or magnet piece would work better.

I was thinking that too, Pete. having those fiberboard signs made up isn't all that expensive- and could be well worth the cost, especially if one could find wording that could be re-used rather than for one-time use.

Exactly! Recurring offers (last minute, walk-in NOW type of stuff) would be ideal.

Keep it simple and readable.
I have a two sided one.
One side has permanent information and the other has a space for specials
or what ever I want to hand write in.
The less clutter the more apt to be read.
oh yeah I put a flier box on the side to have hand out...like a real estate sign. ~M
