SANDY — A man accused of inappropriately touching a woman during a massage has been charged.
Landon Jarvies, 28, of Herriman, was charged Friday in 3rd District Court with forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.
On Jan. 29, a woman was at Elements Massage and told her massage therapist, Jarvies, that she “needed attention on her neck, shoulders and groin, which were all sore,” according to charging documents.
But during the session Jarvies inappropriately touched her genitals, the charges state, causing the woman to quickly pull away from him.
“I’m sorry, I must have misread the signs,” Jarvies allegedly told the woman, the charges state.
The woman told Sandy police, who investigated the case, that she “did not know what ‘the signs’ were and did not request” that Jarvies touch that part of her body, according to the charges.
