Since I am still waiting on my establishment license :irked: I am only at my new office a few times a week. I have only been turning the hyrdocollator on as needed. I went to turn it on the other day and noticed that it had a funky smell, kinda like the beginnings of pond scum.
I don't know if this is because it sits at room temp most of the time? At the clinic I work at, we have one of the huge floor models so it stays on 24/7 because it takes forever to heat up and we've never had this issue there before.
Is there anything I can add to the water to prevent this? I really don't want to leave it turned on all the time, kinda seems like a waste of energy to me. I thought about bleach but was concerned that it would "eat" the fabric of the hot pack.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Angie
