Read in yesterday's edition of the Post that Saxophone on the Patong Beach has closed down.:erf:

It is a pity as it was one of the only places that did a bit of jazz and blues and had comfortable surroundings.:intello:

Service fine last time we went and that was with 6 dining and drinking.

Talking to a guy yesterday and he is thinking of taking the place and changing into a................new Irish Theme Bar, yeah good idea not enough of them already, wonder why no one has thought of that???? well apart from the 9 or 10 other blokes that have already opened them!!!!!

Too bad, I never had time to visit that place - yet.

I did however visit Absolut Ceylon Pub @ Jungceylon today for the first time, ordered today's special (Meatballs and mashed potatoes) for 150 baht. And a hotdog with french fries for Nathalie. Happy with the food quality and their prices.

No key money being asked. Just monthly rental payments.... Which are rather high but not all that bad per square meter. Lease only 2 years as after this the 30 year master lease for the whole Andaman complex is ending.

I used to go there to have a change from all the hum drum bar streets.It made a good hidey hole and had a decent selection of draught beers.The live band they had were fairly good musicians.:^^:
