School pamper evening

Hello ! I am new to this site and am a Reflexologist just starting a mobile business in the Bristol area.

The opportunity has come up to have a stall at a mums pamper evening at my son's school. I was really looking for any tips on conducting this. ie How much to charge, what 'Reflexology' to include in a 15-20 min session, is this the ideal timeframe for taster sessions? Also, with regard to documentation, do i need to fill out a record card for these or is it good enough to ask pertinent questions, to establish any contraindications, etc. Do I need to get a Disclaimer signed ?

Any info, tips, advice greatly appreciated

Firstly, it's always a good idea to get a contact card filled in with name, address and telephone number on as you can then send them marketing stuff. Ask the obvious questions.

In 15 mins you're not going to be able to do very much actual reflexology, so I just give them a really good foot and lower leg massage, with perhaps a spine walk or concentrate on something they said was wrong with them. Solar plexus of course, and pituitary/hypothalamus too.

As for charging, it depends on how you're paying for the stall. £5 per treatment, or £10 with half going to the cause, or more depends on how much other stalls are charging.

I did a pamper eve at my son's school last year doing Reiki and Angel Cards, and there was a reflexologist there too, who was just doing taster sessions for 10-15mins, and a massage therapist who was also doing 15 mins. Both of those therapists just did a 2 min consultation before, asking key medical questions like:

Any recent ops?
Seen doctor for anything in last 4 weeks?
What meds are you on?
General health today?

As they were taster sessions they didn't fill anything out, but you could come up with a short consent form with a short disclaimer on it for them to sign, if you are worried. Also, I just charged by donation, but if I were to do it again, I would specify a price. For 15mins, I think £5-7 would be reasonable.
