Hi Jayboy.
Thank you, yes, but I think the underlying cause is always in our heads. How many of us in our lives are racing around doing this, doing that, and therefore not consciously aware of most of the thoughts we are having. Mind/body connection stuff with regard to “Back” problems are to do with support. If your thinking patterns allow you believe that you have no support (from friends, family, work, life, even “yourself” etc) then issues arise for you in the form of physical ailments in this area of your anatomy.
Changing your thought pattern is easy. Be aware of your thoughts. Recognise the negative ones. Turn them around/rephrase them to become more positive and then reinforce them. Belief is also a powerful factor. It is challenging at first, but first hand experience has shown me that you can turn them around to help you to improve your life situations and also on your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual levels as well.
We are all a reflection of our own thinking. My belief is that before we react to the “event” (ie by exercising, taking a pill, having the “bad” bit cut out) it would be a good idea to analyse our thought processes and if need be change them. Issues may appear after years of particular thought patterns and to expect an immediate change just because of a couple new more positive thoughts is expecting a miracle. The process of change and becoming aware of how things are unfolding for the better for you is something which would need to be worked on.
Perhaps Ady would like to respond now on his ongoing topic?
Cheers
