Scruffy Murphy's

Anyone know what has happened (or is happening) to Scruffy Murphy's? When I was in Patong in January it was closed, but fair enough as that end of Bangla Rd was a major mess at the time, but it still seems to be closed. Was hoping to check out the Guiness and live music this time around. I meant to check Molly Malone's on the beach front (owned by the same people?) but never got around to it.

Molly Malones robbed me and my friend a couple of years ago.

We ordered a pint of Kilkenny and a pint of lager.

The shit-head behind the bar wanted around 800 baht for 2 drinks !

When we told him there must be a mistake, the manager and the hard-as-fcuk doorman were over to us instantly.

"Whenever someone orders Kilkenny, I ALWAYS get the barman to let you know it is 490 baht " said the manager

"He never told us" we replied.

"Yes he did, pay up "

So, we had to pay.
We told him that this was probably the most expensive Kilkennys in all the world - £7 or about 11 Euros.

I certainly didnt shed a tear when those bunch of bastards got put out of business

They were insured.
