Scuba diving and girls

Hi everybody,

I'll be in Phuket next week (friday morning). Second time in my life, but first alone....:bad:
On saturday late afternoon I will start a cruise from Chalong Bay (scuba diving) for the next five days with a double cabin already booked
Have only 36 hour to find a nice companion (ehm girl...) that would be happy to share 4 lazy days and 5 hot nights liveaboard.
Which one would be the best way to find one? FL's?
Couldn't find any clue with search option...

i tend to find that on live aboards its better on your own as you can share a few beers with your new diving buddies.
remember staying up top on a dive boat could be well boring while your diving ,mix in a Thai crew that will guess she is a p4p girl and may be an uncomfortable situation could be avoided.giving you more money to spend on your return to shore for some more interesting adventures.
just my own thoughts.

As a fellow scuba diver I tend to agree - a bad mix - I have taken a BG or two out on the dive boat for day trips - Phi Phi, Shark Point etc - and that has been okay as she killed dive times trying to learn to snorkel and it was a bit of a novelty for her, but I would be against taking a TG on a liveaboard. She would soon be missing her Thai food, be bored, probably sea sick and miserable. 5 days/4 nights disaster! h:

Stuck on a boat (TG's dont do boats well on average) with a P4P girl you barely know, with limited english skills, with nothing to do, with the boat and sun, with other non P4P divers, with the Thai crew, for her, for you, just truly awful plan.

yep....last ting I'd ever do is take a TGona dive trip....its for diving not for fecking!!!!

as the others said TGs don't float real well....she will be sea sick bored lonely and ostracised by both thais and falang alike....not the ideal romantic interlude you are seeking

I worked on the liveaboards around Thailand and all the above is true. One thing others haven't mentioned is the horny Divemasters on the boat who WILL ALL take a run at your lady. The only time I have seen this sort arrangement work was when I was on a boat and the tour leader who was leaving the company brought 6 girls on board for his final trip. Poor things didn't have time to get seasick but they all walked away smiling and headed straight to the gold shops.

..........and in the 'Nightlife' section, so it's going to be dark as well!

You won't be able to see the girlies on the boat, probably stub your toe on an oxygen tank and probably not see that Nobby Clark that comes along to nibble on your leg until it's far too late!
