My University days of helping run a small book operation has helped me immensely. Care to reassess your wager after we hit 400 cases today? Ford declared an emergency on March 13 with 20 cases! The first time we hit 400 cases was two and a half weeks later on April 3. The shutdown is coming. And sooner than I had hoped.

This isn't March anymore when we didn't know how the China virus spread or was passed on. With increased testing and gradual reopenings, we'd be stupid if we thought the numbers would stay below 100 for long. It's different now.

Businesses are mandated to enforce mask policies and social distancing rules. Why make them do these things if we're going to shut them down anyway? We're just wasting our time playing charades if we do close shop again. If Restaurant A had a case or outbreak, shut it down for a week. B, C and D don't have to suffer the consequences as well.

If we shut down like in March, we deserve to live in a dystopian society for being stupid. We'll never recover from this. Well, except for big corporations, big tech and powerful politicians who'll still be able to get haircuts and pedicures while the rest of us are forced to stay at home.
