My client has seed corns over the liver reflex area on the plantar surface of the right foot. I am curious if anyone has any thoughts on this. I've never seen seed corns outside of the ball of the foot (proximal phalanges and distal portion of metatarsals), so I am curious what this could be. Her podiatrist says they are "clogged sweat glands" and nothing can be done about them. I've researched briefly on the internet and the general medical opinion of U.S. podiatrists seems to be: shave the area, apply padding, or use injections. Obviously I am not interested in removing them, but am curious why they are showing up over the liver reflex. By the way, they are not painful to her and she isn't concerned that they are there.
