Hi folks,

Just wanted to know if any of you have tried/used Set-N-Me-Free products, in particular their body-wrap product and what kind of results you got from them. Thanks for you feedback

i worked in a dayspa almost 8 years ago that offered this wrap. dehydration and detoxification is it's primary function. the marketing marterials say the client will lose inches after this wrap, but it is from dehydration and the 'inches' lost is the sum of the 1/8 to 1/4 inch loss off each body section.
because this is a dehydrating service, any water intake after the service, will most likely reverse any inch loss.

i don't have a favorable view of dehydration spa services. i don't feel they have a lot to offer the client. i will concede that some woman have successfully used this to get into a too tight dress for an occasion.

I too am not a big fan of the inch loss body wraps. I worked in a salon that used them and I have a hard time telling someone they lost 2" when it is a combination of something like 15 different measurements - upper arm, lower arm, check, upper ab, lower ab, hips, upper leg, lower leg. I just think it isn't all they try to make it sound like it is. 1/4" off the wiast, isn't that big of a deal. But when you tell someone they lost 2 to 4 inches -- then they think it was awesome... but that really is an "all over addition", not 2 - 4 inches in every place.

Also, they are a real pain, in my opinion, to do. We wrapped with the ace bandages, and you had to dip them in this "stuff", and wrap the client like a mummy, and then clean the bandages, and re-roll them (let me tell you the re-rolling process is time consuming!). Generally messy and no fun.

I'd go for a burrito style wrap of sea-weed anyday over that!

the image conjured up is funny - like one of a dried sponge and once it gets wet POOF!

Funny thing though - what they state is that the product encourages elimination of toxins through lymphatic cleansing and recommend that the client drink 4 liters of water during the 24 hrs after the treatment to flush the toxins to assure that the lost size will stay off. :?

i'll second that 'messy' thing from TG. it's much easier to do a wrap.

i hear what you're saying about the H2O intake, but the whole aspect of 'losing' inches has to come from some therapeutic function~ hydration, dehydration, detoxification, exfoliation, or remineralization. it just doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah that bandage thing sounds real messy & time consuming.

What I'm really looking for is some type of system or product/s that can effectively help to tonify the body, address cellulite & weight reduction with the therapeutic functions that Mush speaks. Is there such a thing out there?

there's many companies that offer these.

endermology is one machine system that 'reduces the appearance' of cellulite through a vacuum-like device. there's a couple of companies that make a version of this machine.

i've worked with cellulite/firming products in a resort spa environment. generally, these products are recommended for a series of 5, 6, 10, or 12 to 'see the desired results'. i've not done any as a series for any one person, because it's a resort and people are vacationing. the mask was self heating, and it was strictly offered as a body part service, not a full-body experience.
