Three people were arrested during a prostitution bust at a pair of Temecula massage parlors, according to Riverside County deputies.
On Nov. 6, members of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department began investigating a business located in the 31300 block of Temecula Parkway in regards to reports of alleged acts of prostitution, a statement from deputies said.
They began their investigation after receiving an anonymous tip from a member of the public.
On Tuesday, they conducted a search warrant of the business and determined that alleged acts of prostitution had occurred there, and arrested 41-year-old Temecula resident Yan Fang Wi. They were booked on suspicion of soliciting.
The next day, deputies served another search warrant, this time at a business in the 2700 block of Jefferson Avenue. Again, they found evidence that led to the arrests of two people.
Li Guan, 40 of Monrovia, and Xiao Tao, 47 of San Gabriel, were arrested for soliciting prostitution.
Deputies said that two victims from each establishment were offered resources from "victim advocate case managers."
The warrants were served by RSO's CORE team, working in coordination with the Special Enforcement team and the Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force.
"Human trafficking is not a 'victimless' crime," the RSO statement said. "Research shows that a majority of trafficking victims are women or children, many of whom have histories of abuse or trauma. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children estimates that 1 in 6 endangered runaways are likely victims of sex trafficking, facing severe emotional and physical abuse."
